Angela joined Lift Education in 2009 as an Educator/Project Manager.

She has taught across years 1–8 within New Zealand and Britain. While doing her Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching, her majors were music and performing arts, along with TESOL training. Within the educational sphere, Angela is especially interested in the use of music as a tool to enhance student learning, and creating culturally-safe schools for Maori students.

In additional to her experience in Education, Angela recently received a Maori Masters Scholarship to complete a Masters of Business Management. Her thesis explored Wellington Small and Medium-sized enterprise owner-managers’ perceptions of corporate social responsibility. While completing her own research, Angela worked within a University Business Research centre.

Angela brings skills and experience in research (with an interest in Kaupapa Maori research methodologies), writing, project management, and recent classroom teaching experience. She is enjoying the challenges educational publishing brings.
